Mission:
The mission of Scout Day is to make a positive impact on aspiring players, and to strengthen the future of the game of baseball. Through our events, and as a complement to existing leagues and organizations, we offer opportunities for players to develop their skills, showcase their abilities, and to compete with and against players and teams from all over the country. In all of our endeavors, we strive to fulfill our social responsibility of sharing experience and information, in order to help grow the game of baseball and make it available to more young people.

Why attend a Scout Day event?
CREDIBILITY and AFFORDABILITY...the building blocks of our organization. Maximizing each one allows us to deliver a unique and valuable experience to each Scout Day participant, both on and off the field.

Credibility
The Scout Day team is primarily made up of former Major League personnel, giving us an unmatched roster in terms of credibility and experience. In the areas of prospect identification and report writing our scouting department will operate very much like that of a Major League organization. Prospects will be graded using the 20-80 scouting scale. Those tool grades will serve as the backbone for our Prospect Ranking system, allowing us to publish objective rankings by Major League standards.

Affordability
Top quality ability and competition, top level facilities, the presence of influential scouting and recruiting personnel and the credibility of our team and our scouting reports are all elements that combine to create a one of a kind experience – both on and off the field – for each player that attends a Scout Day event. Our goal is to make that experience available to more young baseball players and to do so at a fraction of the cost charged by our competition.

Resistance training is a form of strength training in which each effort is performed against a specific opposing force generated by resistance. Exercises are isotonic if a body part is moving against the force. Exercises are isometric if a body part is holding still against the force. Resistance exercise is used to develop the strength and size of skeletal muscles. Properly performed, resistance training can provide significant functional benefits and improvement in overall health and well-being.

The goal of resistance training, according to the American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI), is to "gradually and progressively overload the musculoskeletal system so it gets stronger." Research shows that regular resistance training will strengthen and tone muscles. Resistance training should not be confused with weightlifting, powerlifting or bodybuilding, which are competitive sports involving different types of strength training with non-elastic forces. Full range of motion is important in resistance training because muscle overload occurs only at the specific joint angles where the muscle is worked.

The elastic resistance band is a portable alternative to weights for strength training. A variety of exercises have been devised to target specific muscle groups.
