Skills Camps are fundamental based events. All players will have an opportunity to learn the necessary fundamentals involved in stretching, warm-up/throwing, base running, defensive postions (infield, outfield, pitching, and catching), hitting, and conditioning. We progressively teach players through a circuit format. At our Skills Camps players will receive several repititions at each station in a circuit. It is recommended that player bring their own baseball equipment. Players must have their own glove. Baseball attire is required.
Advanced Camps are designed and geared toward the All-Star caliber player. Do not allow limited information to keep you from being the best player you can be. Some of the topics we cover at our Advanced Camps is the same information that helped many of today's Major Leaguers.

Player Development Combine
We have all heard stories about parents who pay exorbitant amounts of money to have their players go to a showcase. The player attends the event, receives a report and is sent home hoping for a call. Some players may be given verbal feedback such as: you need to get better jumps for a better 60 time, you aren't using your lower half at the plate, or you need to work on your curveball. There is more to just letting a pitcher know he needs to work on his curve ball. He needs a prescription to the problem.
We have taken an approach that allows players to be evaluated while learning what adjustments they need to make and how to make them. We provide player development so that the player has an opportunity to perform better the next time he steps on the field. Our scouts will evaluate each player in attendance. Based on our evaluations, players determined to have potential value to the college level or higher will be invited to attend one of our Regional Showcase events.
How do I sign up for a Player Development Combine?
Current JUNIORS, SOPHOMORES and FRESHMEN are encouraged to pre-register if interested in attending. We realize that many of our dates are during high school playoffs, and therefore many players do not yet know if they will be available to participate. As a result, we do accept walk-up registrations the day of each event.
We recommend that you register online. It only takes a few minutes. Mail-in registrations are accept with payment. If you would like another registration option (by phone, mail, etc.) please contact us at info@scoutday.com.
Regional Showcases
Our Showcases are events designed to allow qualified players to show their abilities to college coaches and professional scouts. Players will have grades on their running, arm strength, fielding ability, hitting ability and raw power. Pitchers will have grades on their fastball, breaking ball, changeup and/or other pitch, and control. Grades are on the 20-80 scouting scale, used by Major League organizations. Our organization is primarily made up of former Major League personnel, assuring you of an evaluation by an experienced and credible scout.
Based on positional declaration(s), each player will be assigned to a team. The player will stay with his team for all showcase components. There will be either four or six teams created, each with a roster of around 15-20 players.
The event is designed to first allow the players to show their abilities in a workout setting, and then in game settings. The players will take batting practice, run the 60-yard dash, and field/throw from their position before playing their first game. Though we provide players with a fair and equitable amount of defensive time during games, the primary focus of most coaches and scouts in the stands will be on the live matchups between pitchers and hitters.
In addition, players that attend a Showcase are eligible for our Prospect Rankings. All tool grades, measurables (60-yard dashes, pitch velocities, etc.) and overall grades are entered into our system. Based on those numbers, we publish an in-depth series of rankings:
TOOL Rankings
- Top Hitting Ability
- Top Fielding Ability
- Top Fastball
- Top Offspeed
- Top Runner
- Top Arm
